Wayne fully qualified as an electrician in 2008 he always had clear business ideas and so launched WAF Electrical in 2009 this has meant that the things he feels passionately about I.e. good customer relations and fair, honest pricing could always be kept at the heart of the business. By 2016 it was apparent that the business had outgrown his home based office, with 5 employees and himself, it was time to expand, WAF moved into the Aura business centre. Although Wayne spends time at the office he is still most comfortable when working on the tools and liasing with customers. He currently has 8 employees and the business is going from strength to strength.
When he’s not working, spending time with his family is always at the top of his list
Simon is a very valued and irreplaceable part of our team, recently having taken on the supervisor role. Always conscientious, never work shy and consistently reliable, Simon never fails to deliver.
Simon is level 3 qualified and also carries his 2394/5 inspection and testing. Having previously worked fitting bollards in marinas all over the world for multi million pound yachts, Simons experience is both extensive and impressive!
When he isn't working Simon can currently be found using any free time to completely renovate his new home.
Having been alerted to the quality of Ritchie’s work we were excited when he accepted our offer of a position with us at WAF, he brought with him a confidence and assuredness that is rarely seen in someone of Ritchie’s young age, there is no part of the domestic sector that Ritchie finds a struggle and regularly we get praise regarding him and his approach to his work. Since joining us we have educated him in the caravan and industrial side of our work and he is now very much adept in all areas.
Ritchie is level 3 qualified and is working towards his inspection and testing qualification.
Corey was our very first apprentice and joined us a little over 2 years ago with little to no electrical knowledge. He is now carrying a level 2 equivalent qualification and is working hard towards his level 3. Corey is Chris's partner in crime and they make a fantastic pair.
Corey's knowledge and experience are growing daily and we believe that Corey has a great future in this industry.
Corey is a keen and very talented footballer and plays for Skegness Town's first team. When he's not on the football pitch Corey can usually be found socialising with friends.
Bailey was our second apprentice and although he originally trialled with us at the same time as Corey he was at first unsuccessful. Less than 6 months later we approached him and offered him. Ever since taking him on he has been an asset to us and has developed into an irreplaceable member of the team. His work is always completed to a high standard and with the nick name “rain man” he never forgets anything.
Outside of work Bailey is a fully qualified beach life guard and is currently going through the process of signing up to be a retained firefighter.
Lyz Ayers - Lyz is very much at the heart of our 'W.A.F Family'. She officially joined the team in 2015 and although was the only 'non-sparky',
has built up an impressive knowledge of electrical lingo and is always keen to learn more. She shares Waynes passion for the business and brings a
Nurturing feel to the office.
Outside of work Lyz is studying accountancy and is a keen Gym Fanatic.
Jody Thein - Being the newest addition to the 'W.A.F Office' office, Jody is already proving to be a true asset. She joined us in 2017 to concentrate on Marketing and Social Media and has quickly taken to the team. Her professionalism and drive bring a bit more discipline to the office, and she is eager to push the company in new and exciting directions.
